Disabled Phone Line

Can the Catalyst still contact destinations if lightening or some other force has disabled the phone line?

While the Catalyst can continue to operate during AC power loss with its battery backup, the Catalyst cannot make outgoing calls when the telephone line has been disabled.

The Catalyst will attempt to make outgoing calls, but will be unable to complete the calls without the telephone line.

If a disabled land-based phone line is of concern, you may want to consider using Cellularm.
