AlarmAgent -- Event Logs

How do you access the event logs and what information is contained in them?

The AlarmAgent web site maintains logs of relevant events. These logs can be used as �audit trails� among other purposes. Locate the menu tabs and select "View Event Logs." The "Event Log Preferences" dialog will appear.

You may select from three different log report types:

1. Alarm Events : This is a log report of alarm-related events associated with the selected RTU. The report includes Date, Time, RTU Name, Alarms, Returns to Normal, Snooze Alarms and Acknowledged Alarms.

2. Non-Alarm Events : This is a log report of events associated with the selected RTU which are not related to alarms. The report includes Date, Time, RTU Name, Reports, Relay Operations, Polls, Configuration Changes, Miscellaneous Items, User Name, and whether the event occurred via action at the RTU or via the web site.

3. Non-RTU events : This is a log report of events which are not related to alarms or to specific RTUs. The report includes Date, Time, Call ins, Log ins, Reports, Non-RTU configuration changes, Miscellaneous Items and User Name.

  • Log - RTU Configuration Changes
  • Log - Reports, Relays, and Poll Events
  • Log - Non RTU Related Events
  • Log - Alarm Events
