Verbatim Video Series Part 1: Introduction

Written by Eric | October 03 2023

RACO’s six-part video series introduces the Verbatim autodialer and gives viewers the basics on installation, programming and installation.

The first installment presents Verbatim and all of its features. The system acts as a remote alarm monitor for remote or unattended facilities. The standard system can monitor four inputs at once, but options are available for up to 32. Verbatim usually monitors sensors like float or limit switches to alert it to alarm conditions, but some inputs can be set just for reporting purposes.

When Verbatim senses an alarm condition or power failure, it begins to dial up to 16 preprogrammed phone numbers and delivers the prerecorded message for that alarm condition. Plant personnel also can call Verbatim to hear a voice report of current status at any time.

Operators can program from Verbatim’s front panel or with a touchtone phone. To make programming easy, Verbatim has default voice recording parameters that fit most applications. A variety of supplemental voice recording options can be included if needed, however. All programming is saved in permanent non-volatile memory.

Other parts of the video series will cover installation, initial and advanced programming, voice message recording, operation and maintenance. While these videos provide a guide on getting started, be sure to refer to the owner’s manual for more detailed instructions and to answer any questions that come up.

View the video series at RACO’s website or on the RACOmann YouTube channel. Your owner’s manual includes a glossary to all the terms used in the video, plus an index and troubleshooting guide.
