Blind Dialing

What is "blind dialing?"

Blind dialing is where the Catalyst will ignore the "Call Progress Monitoring Tones" or CPM tones. This is accomplished by disabling CPM. You can turn CPM off by connecting with Alarmware and selecting Configuration|Devices|Phone Configuration and disable the "Call Progress Monitoring Enable."

With CPM off, the voice prompt begins as soon as the dialing string ends, and since the unit will not be able to detect a busy signal, the call will be considered successful with the report "delivered."

If programming from the front panel or over the phone, use keycode 401*1 to turn CPM off.
