I am not able to acknowledge alarms from my cellphone

Why am I unable to ackowledge alarms from my cellphone?

DTMF is the beeps you hear on a regular land-line telephone when you dial a number. When you set it to DTMF long, it transmits the beep for as long as you hold down the button, and when set to short it transmits all of the tones for the same amount of time. If you are unable to acknowledge alarms from your cellphone and you are using a CDMA carrier such as Verizon changing your phone DTMF setting from Normal to Long should resolve this issue. Please consult your owner's manual or contact your carrier for further assistance.
