What is TFAIL?
TFAIL is an LED indicator located on the front panel of Verbatim, Verbatim Gateway, and Catalyst RTUs.
The LED indicator illuminates when there is a phone line fault detected. When a unit attempts to use or test the phone line, but cannot get a dial tone, the unit will give an indication of TFAIL (telephone line failure) with the TFAIL LED turning ON and the event being logged.
When the phone line becomes available, the unit will make TFAIL alarm notifications until acknowledged.
